What I learned today

Alix Partners (Corporate turnaround and restructuring firm):
The outcome of turnaround initiatives are bottom-line results, not reports.
When turning insolvent firms around, stabilization comes before business planning.

DEO (Discovering Entrepreneurial Opportunities) Class:
When advising other people, put yourself in their shoes. Then you will get to know what makes sense or not.
Try to understand the client's mind.

WhipCar (http://www.whipcar.com/my-account/):
There are too many opportunities out there. But they are only seen by those who seek to see them.
(Idle cars in lots --> One-to-one car rental).
It doesn't matter how thick and how good-looking a report is. What matters is whether it moves its audience.
